This privacy notice, together with our Privacy Policy, describes our policies with respect to collection and use of personal data protected under applicable laws in Mexico, irrespective of your nationality. This notice is delivered to you by Southwest Airlines Co., acting in its character of data controller, a company that for purposes of this notice, has its domicile at 2702 Love Field Drive, Dallas, TX 75235.

By providing your contact information you hereby agree and acknowledge that you may receive communications about your flight that may contain advertising, promotional or marketing information but that such information is not intended to have effects and will not be applicable in Mexico.

Data Collection Purposes

Your personal data is being collected to confirm, update and follow up with the hired services or purchased products; for promotional and marketing purposes; for payment processing purposes, to comply with the obligations engaged with our customers when they purchase our products, to evaluate the quality of our services, to communicate with your emergency contact in case you have requested such communication, to conduct analysis on traveling habits and preferences, and other purposes as set forth in our Privacy Policy.

Your personal information is collected when you provide it to any of our representatives directly or online when you insert your data in our webpage or by any other methods that are permitted by the applicable law. It is most likely that to hire or purchase our services or products, we will collect your name, address, gender, date of birth, telephone number, email and mailing address. We will collect additional data from you if you choose to join to any of our “Programs” (such as the Rapid Rewards Program or the Click ‘N Save and In A Nutshell Programs). Please note that processing your personal data for marketing and promotional purposes is not necessary for the existence, maintenance and compliance of the legal relationship that you may have with Southwest Airlines at a certain time. Since the email notification services related to our Programs are optional, when registering for such Programs you will be offered with the option to refuse to receive notice of sale fares, special offers and other promotions.

Options To Limit The Way We Use Or Communicate Your Personal Data

You may cancel your subscription to receive promotions and offers at any time by contacting us and requesting such cancellation using the contact information below.

You may also limit the way we use or share your personal data by unsubscribing from our promotional email lists. Each promotional email you receive from us regarding our Programs includes instructions at the bottom on how to remove yourself from our promotional email list.

Transfers Of Your Personal Data

Southwest Airlines may share your information with partner companies as necessary in the course of our operations and to the extent necessary to comply with our obligations to you and/or to provide you with the services you have choose to receive. If at any point the transfer of your data requires you to consent to such transfer, we will let you know and we will offer you the option to consent to such transfer. Those partner companies include marketing companies that assist us in processing the promotions you have chosen to receive and with companies in the financial and information security sector that assist us to detect and reduce fraud). We may also share your personal data with government agencies to the extent required by law and with Southwest Airlines’ affiliates for different operational purposes and with third parties in the context of a Corporate Change. Please note that some or all of these partner companies, affiliates and providers might be located outside Mexico and therefore, these data processing operations may imply your personal data to be transferred abroad. Your Rights

You are entitled to enforce at any time your privacy rights, including the right to access your data; to request us such data be updated, amended or deleted; to oppose to the way we process your data for a specific purpose or to revoke, at any time, consent previously granted, to the extent permitted by the law. If you revoke our ability to use certain personal information we may not be able to provide certain goods and services to you.

To exercise any of the above described rights, please send an email in Spanish and addressed to the Chief Data Officer, using the contact information below. Please make sure to include your full name, last name, mailing address, an email and where the response should be sent to you and a telephone number where we can reach you. Our Chief Privacy Officer may provide any information you may require about the process, including: (i) the information that you will be asked to provide to identify yourself and documents that you may need to enclose with your request; if the case, the information that your legal representative will be asked to provide to identify himself and to evidence that he is acting on your representation; (ii) timeframes to receive a response from us regarding your request; (iii) information regarding how you may present your request, including forms and/or templates available (if any) and; (iv) how the Company will deliver the information to you (which usually would be copies of documents or data messages).

Sensitive Personal Data

In some occasions it may be necessary to gather sensitive personal data, including but not limited to familiar relationship, age, health condition and disabilities. We offer you the ability to opt-in to our use of such information. All information will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.

Policy Changes

If Southwest Airlines changes this Privacy Notice for Mexico or its Privacy Policy, we will post the revised notice or policy on this site. Any changes will be effective immediately after the post in made.
